I plan cut 5 1/4″ crown with a 1×4 jig to hold the crown in place.

12 inch if you use a jig.
Depends on the jig and the cutting method. If you will be laying flat then one that will cut out to 5 1/4. That means a 10″ slider. If cutting on an angle a 10″ slider will work too.
